Power, Evil & Gender-based Violence

Our country (South Africa) is facing an epidemic (COVID-19) on top of another epidemic (Gender-based Violence) and the time to act is now. Statistics SA published a report in 2018 stating that the rate of "femicide" in South Africa is five times higher than the global average. The scriptures are very clear in their teaching that the role of the man is to lead his wife by serving her and not by "lording it over" her and that he must follow the example of the Lord Jesus Christ; who laid down his life for the sake of the church. In the same way, the man must lay down his life for the sake of his wife.
